Bridging the Gap

The introduction covers the content, purpose and some background information for the podcasts.  The information presented in these podcasts are from theories, models and skills taught in the “Corporate Graduate Program in Organizational Leadership” and “Tough Stuff” workshops developed by Bob Crosby.  The purpose is to provide a refresher to those who have participated in these programs.

The presentations may also be helpful to those who have not attended one of the programs to gain some insight into what is offered, but know that without the experiential learning that takes place in the program, this is just information and will probably not take root.

In the background material there are brief interviews with Bob Crosby (founder), the late Don Simonic (Sponsor) and a few salaried and hourly students participants from the program.  The “Corporate Graduate Program in Organizational Leadership” was developed by Bob Crosby and introduced to ALCOA Aluminum by Tom McCombs in 1990.  The faculty included Brenda Karr, Denny Mino, Patricia Crosby, Judy Heinrich, Aldis Gordon and Tom McCombs.  The program continued until 2003 with several hundred salaried and hourly employees participating.  Workshops like the two week “Tough Stuff” continue to this day.
