Emergency Response Plan (ERC)
The NSB Ward Emergency Preparedness and Response Committee will develop the Ward Plans and provide resources, communication and coordination where required. The Bishop is responsible for activating the ERC thru the Ward Emergency Preparedness/Response Coordinator who keeps the Bishop informed.

4.Ward Mapping System with Ward Directory
(Attached as Appendix A, to be updated monthly)
5.Missionary Accounting Procedure
a.Ward Mission Leader accounts for Missionaries and reports to the Bishop within 4 hours of the emergency. (386 682-8167)
b.Bishop reports to Stake President immediately.
6.Ward Member Accounting Procedure
a.Activate affected Zone Communication Leaders to contact membership.
b.Zone leaders report to Area Coordinators with 4-8 hours of an emergency.
c.Area Coordinators report to Bishop within 4-8 hours.
d.Bishop reports to Stake president within 8 hours.
7.Members with Special Needs Procedures
a.Zone Leaders annually (OCT 31st) contact each member in their zone to :
i.Verify addresses, phone numbers, emergency contact numbers, and map location.
ii.Determine any special needs, skills and report to the Area Coordinator and Priesthood Leaders who will then inform the Ward Clerk.
b.Home Teachers and Visiting Teachers also report special needs to the Ward Clerk
c.The Ward Clerk will record special needs/skills in the LDS Mapping system.
8. Members with Special Skills Procedure.
a.The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will develop a special skills inventory thru information obtained in 7a ii. ( Attached in appendix B.)
9. Communications System
a. The Bishop will determine when to activates the Ward Emergency Communications
System.
i.The Bishop will notify affected Team Leaders who will then notify their respective Area and Zone Leaders.
ii.Member contact is made by the Zone Leaders and then reported back up the line to the Bishop.
iii.The Bishop will utilize either the Telephone or Ham Radio to communicate results to the Stake President. ( Radio operators weekly practice is conducted on ERC net 146.865 or 146.46(simplex) during emergencies.)
10. Evacuation Plan
a.The Bishop thru the EPR Coordinator activates the evacuation plan. This will be based on expected storm surges (appendix C) or fire dangers.
i.The N.S.B. Evacuation Leaders are as follows. (Attached in Appendix B.)
11. Recovery/Cleanup Plan
a. The Bishop thru the EPR Coordinator activates the cleanup crews determined by the
information determined from 9a.ii. above.
i. Crews will be determined by availability and Special Skills listed in attachment B.
ii.The Bishop may request assistance as available from the Stake President.

13. Assist members in developing a 72 Hour- 7 day Kit and home/water storage
a.Assess members with 72 hour kits and up to 1 year supply
i. Send out inventory during Priesthood/Relief Society
ii.Inventory membership during annual member contact
b.Provide Training and assistance as required.
14.Assist members in developing an Emergency Preparedness Plan (Appendix E)
a.Assess members with emergency preparedness plan.
b.Provide training during 5th Sunday activities.
