  2. Activates Command Center at Church

  3. Emergency Preparedness Specialist sets up Command Center John Carey 386 760 3485

  4. Prepares for EPC meeting

  5. Notifies Bishopric (come to EPC meeting)

  8. Call Ward Executive Secretary

  9. Calls Emergency Preparedness Committee Meeting.

  10. Calls Ward Mission Leader Mission Leader to monitor missionaries


  1. Monitors News/Weather Reports

  2. Reports Actions to Stake President

  3. Review Post Plans with EPC.

  4. Date/time to meet at Command Center after Event (especially if phone lines are down)

 

First Counselor Actions   

  1.   Follows up on Special Needs with Relief Society & Priesthood

  2. Ensures Priesthood Evacuation teams are organized.

  3. Reports progress of Special Needs to Bishop

  4. Checks Command supplies and Equipment

  5. See Attachment (Ward Building & Equipment for Emergency Events)

 

Second Counselor Actions  

  1. Follow up on Member Notification with Relief Society & Priesthood

  2. Ensures all members have been contacted.

  3. Stay, Shelter, Evacuate

  4. Establishes contact on Stake ERC Simplex Net

  5. Ensures a Ham Operator on each ERT & Cleanup team

  6. Activates Zone Calling Tree (see Zone List under maps in Plan)

  7. Reports Zone calling to Bishop/Priesthood

  1. Contacts each Zone Leader to contact members (see Zone List under maps in Plan)

Melchizedek Priesthood (Elder/High Priest Presidencies)

  1. Organizes Evacuation Teams

  3. Trains Teams with Church Disaster Guidelines/Sign off sheet (See Forms in Plan)

Relief Society President

 

  1. Calls the Relief Society Presidency and informs of Plan Activation

  2. Activates VT check members (Redundant contact to Zone Contacts)

  3. Stay, Shelter, Evacuate

  5. Needs (special, evacuation help)

  6. Check status of Special Needs

  7. Reports status to Bishop

  8. Organizes Compassionate Service as required.
